CHARLOTTE BAGWELL
soprano
"praised for her innate musicality, distinct timbre, and musicianship..."

An American soprano based in New York City, Charlotte firmly believes that music and art can touch audiences in ways that words cannot.   As humanity evolves, she feels  performative art will continue to be an imperative outlet for society.

Charlotte started playing the violin at age four.  She studied under Diane Kitzman, principal first violin in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and violin faculty at Southern Methodist University. After a decade of intense musical study and artistic development, she began her formal vocal training.

"Every time I sing, I am grateful for my years on the violin. My precise ear, site reading skills, and ability to shape a phrase come from my early training as a string player.  Learning how to sing as expressively as I once played has been challenging, frustrating, and magically rewarding."
