A native of Dallas, Texas, Ms. Bagwell entered her musical career on the violin at the age of four, and continued to play for twelve years under Diane Kitzman, principle first violin in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and violin faculty at Southern Methodist University. As a young violinist, she performed in various venues throughout Texas, including at the funeral of Jerry Haynes (Mr. Peppermint).

At fourteen, she began her vocal studies with Barbara Hill-Moore, voice faculty at Southern Methodist University and proceeded to receive her Bachelor of Music and Minor in Musicology at The Peabody Conservatory. At Peabody she studied with tenor Dr. Stanley Cornett, and sang Gretel in Peabody Outreach Opera's production of Hansel and Gretel. Ms. Bagwell was also a principal role in Peabody’s Etudes, a unique program featuring new operas written by composition students. She sang the soprano solo, Pie Jesu, in Faure's Requiem with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and played a featured Street Singer in Bernstein's MASS under the baton of Marin Alsop, conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

In the summer of 2019, Ms. Bagwell attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival as a voice Fellow and portrayed the role of Mrs. Nordstrom in Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music at the Wheeler Opera House. She recently sang Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in Alexandria, Virginia. In 2021, Charlotte received her Master of Music from the Mannes School of Music. In December 2021, she revisited the role of Pamina in Music on Site's production of Die Zauberflöte.  In 2022, Charlotte covered the role of Jenny in New Amsterdam Opera's production of La Dame Blanche and was featured in a Preview Concert to promote the show.   Charlotte currently studies with soprano Diana Soviero.
